I was graduated from St Louis School, a quite famous traditional Catholicism secondary in Hong Kong in past decades and was famous in Mathematics. I remembered, Form 1 to Form 3 was compulsory, that means I was needed to study science, history, Chinese, history and geography in the same academic year. It was a great change for me. I remembered all text books except English were written in Chinese in primary school.
But Form 1 onwards, nearly all Text books except Chinese and Chinese History was written in English. Also I remembered both Form 1 and Form 2 Mathematics teachers were also my class teachers. I had to translate all the difficult English words by dictionary to Chinese every day. It was because the usage of English words was much difficult than the in the past. I remembered I was arranged in Form 1A, 2E, 3C, 4C and 5C consequently. I didn't have any favorite subjects. Mightbe I liked Mathematics, caused it was funny when a difficult question could be solved. In fact, I was scared my Form 2 class master, Mr Chan. I hated geography and western history very much. Because there were so many difficult words and patterns needed to be remembered, I only felt very bored.
From Form 4 onwards, I was studied in science class, which means I needed to study physics, chemistry, biology and computer studies. Because of studying computer studies, I had my mother purchase my first computer. a 80386DX computer with CRT colour monitor and a 24 pin dot matrix printer. If I didn't forget, it cost us over thirteen thousand dollars. It was equalled 2 months incomes of my parents. I knew my mother loved me and I was appreciated to her because maybe I was greedy, hehe^_^.
Also, if purchasing 80286 plus mono monitor, it should also be cost over seven thousand dollar. From my friends experience, most of the mono monitors could only be used for two three year but I could use my first monitor for over 6 years and I had used my first computer for over 5 years. I remembered I loved playing computer softwares such as Windows 2.0 to 3.11, winword, excel, lotus 123, wordperfect and corel draw. Maybe some softwares you have never heard such as harvard grahic. And I loved playing computer games when I was in Form 5 especially RPG games.
Maybe I spent much time in computer, My HKCEE results were not good, also my Chinese Lang was failed. I scared and I didn't know how to do when I first saw my HKCEE result. I followed my schoolmate's parent, applied for Form six at Rosaryhill School. It was a business class, Congratulatory; I was succeeded in applying to that school. But I needed to forget all the science in the past and started learning Economic and Accounting. It was very difficult for me, because other students had at least 2 years’ experience and I had to learn from the beginning.
Most of the students were very concentrating to listen to the teachers and kept quiet in other times, so I could able to come up with them. And I was appreciated to the English teacher, whose English was her native language, so I could listen English more. Owing to HKCEE exams, especially Chinese Languages, I had to pay more effort than them. So my spare time was all spend to studying HKCEE subjects. Therefore I seldom gathered with them in holidays. My school results were not good. Mightbe I was wrong, mightbe repeated Form 5 would be better. But anyway I was passed all HKCEE subjects with all components from the second attempt. That's all today, I’m sleepy right now.
