I brought a boxset of Windows 8 from the net before Lunar holidays. Then I went to China for my holiday to have visited my relatives for 3 days. Then I started to work on 13Feb2013. In the morning of 14Feb. I received the Windows 8 at 11:00am.
I upgraded my computer directly from Win 7 of my Lenovo. It took me 1 hour to have installed the Win 8.
Then I performed the Windows Update to install all updates.
So far so good. My impression was that Win 7 was 1 of the application layers of Win 8. It seemed a bit faster than Win7. Also I couldn t find the Control Panel.
