I had 3 consecutive holidays on 4th of July to 6th of July. It was because my friend and I were made the agreement to take 2 to 3 consecutive holidays on the same days to have a travel to Guangzhou. Therefore, we cracked those days 1 month in advance.
But unfortunately, my friend was told by his company he needed to escort his manager to Singapore on 3rd of July and would be come back to Hong Kong on 4th of July. Therefore, we started travelling from 5th of July to 6th of July. Better than none. Because we were difficult to have holiday on same day if we hadn't cracked the same days.
We booked the rounded bus trips and hotel on the net before in advance.
On 5th of July, I woke up at 5 o'clock as usual because I used to wake up at that time every day. We met at the Kowloon side of West Harbour Tunnel bus stop at 8am. Then we went to Element to get on our bus. We had booked the 0845am bus to Guangzhou through Shenzhen Bay Pass. Our bus was leaving on time, and we got off the bus at Guangzhou Hotel at noon.
We toke the MTR route 6 from 海珠廣場 station to 黃沙 station immediately. We rushed into the Metropolitan Plaza 西城都荟 and had our lunch at 純再餐廳. We waited for 30 minutes before they had table for us. Outstanding food quality for food. Might be we were both felt hungrily.
We had a walk at 沙面 from one side to another side, then we arrived 沿江西路. We walked along the promenade of the river side for around an hour, we arrived 天字pier. The ferry was quite cheap for only 2 dollars. We disembarked at Canton Tower 廣州塔. There was a tram railway starts from there, therefore we got into the tram to Wan Sheng Wai萬勝圍. There were 11 stops including Canton Tower station and Wan Sheng Wai station.
When we arrived Wan Sheng Wai, we decided to come back hotel whether by bus or by tram. Because of the last boat would be leaving at 6:15pm, we decided to come back by bus 59X. But unfortunately, there hadn't any 59X arrived our bus stop after we waited for 30 minutes. We disappointed to take MTR to come back 一德路 station.
Then we started to find the exactly location of our hotel at 海珠路, eventually we found it. After checked in and having a shower, it was the time 9pm.
We then went out to have our dinner. We went to a tradition old restaurant near our hotel. We ordered a big bowl of Watercress and Monk Fruit Soup(西洋菜豬骨湯), a dish of Sir Fried Zucchini (炒雜菌)and Beef Stir-fry with Rice Noodles(干炒牛河).
Then we went out to the Zhejiang River side promenade to walk for a while, we came back to our hotel.
It was the time 01:30, I had to sleep.
The second day we both woke up at 7am. We checked out at around 0745am. We went to 一德路 to have our breakfast.
Cheap and delicious, a bowl of preserved egg lean porridge (皮蛋瘦肉粥)and steamed vermicelli roll with diced braised sliced pork (蒸腸粉), it only cost me 8 dollars.
Then we took MTR to 長壽路 station and walked to the 上下九步行街， We saw the 3D JURASSIC WORLD: FALLEN KINGDOM at 平安戲院. Nice film and the price was only 28 renminbi. Of course, this price was reserved through internet web site. It was nearly half price cheaper than the walk-in price.
Then we had our lunch at 集美名食館. I ordered 及底粥，炖豬腦 and 上湯牛三星. Not bad.
Then we went to 荔灣公園，but the distance was so far. If I had known the distance, I would have rejected on foot. But on the way went to 荔灣公園, We were passing by the 永慶坊。 I felt curious for the design, so I went inside 永慶坊, my friend followed me. It was the former home of Bruce Lee. Great, might be there was a village a hundred year ago. When we were visiting 永慶坊, it was raining heavily. We had to stay there for over 1 hours.
Then we continued to go to the 荔灣公園, nothing special. Might be I was not going with a girl, I was no mood to have visiting there. Also it was the time 3pm, we needed to go to the 廣州賓館 to wait for our bus to Hong Kong before 5pm.
We went to the 陳家帖祠 station to take the MTR to the 海珠廣場station, the distance was so far as well. But when we arrived 海珠廣場station, it was only the time 1640.
It was 5 o'clock, our bus come on time. We got into the bus and we finished our journey.
When I came back to my home, it was the time 10pm.
I needed to sleep immediately because I was very tired and had to work in the morning.
Nice journey and appreciated to my friend.

(Remarks,
I have been writing this diary for 3 days because I needed to find the exact locations in the map. Because my friend leaded me to travel Guangzhou, everywhere (old buildings) seemed familiar because I remembered I had been followed with my parents to go there when I was young. But I did not known the English name or Chinese name of those places.
Also I feel tired as well because I used to wake up at 5am every day, when I come back to home, it is the time after 5pm and I fall into sleep at 8pm every day.
Many difficult patterns I have been written in previous diaries, especially written in 2013-2015 I have been forgotten. I need to have leisure time to review grammar books and usage once again)
Next time I hope the one goes with me is you, and to be forever.
